Li-Cube Security with 1800W of Solar Panels
The Li-Cube Security is a compact, Canadian-engineered autonomous power unit built for surveillance, telecom, lighting, and remote monitoring. It provides 1,800 W of solar power using three Elios 600 W bifacial panels, each installed on a galvanized steel 30° adjustable mount for optimal solar performance year-round.
Energy is managed by Victron SmartSolar MPPTs, while the Cerbo GX + GX Touch provides complete on-site and remote monitoring. The enclosure features 2-inch polyurethane insulation (R-13), a commercial-grade locking steel door, and an interior metal wire mesh security door for added protection and airflow.
Designed for rapid deployment and long-term reliability, the Li-Cube Security is ideal for security cameras, sensors, communication equipment, and remote site infrastructure.

Optimized solar placement
Three panels. Three orientations. Continuous coverage.

East
Morning capture
1 panel on a 30° adjustable galvanized mount captures first light.
South · Roof
Peak production
1 panel angled for maximum midday yield.
South · Wall
Evening extension
1 panel keeps producing into the evening.
Engineering deep dive
What's actually inside the box.
1,800 W Bifacial Solar Array
Three Elios 600 W bifacial modules on adjustable galvanized steel mounts deliver efficient, high-density generation, with rear-side solar gain boosting harvest by up to 30% under reflective conditions.
Victron Power Management
Victron power management keeps the system operating efficiently and intelligently, using SmartSolar MPPT controllers to optimize charging and solar harvest as conditions change. Cerbo GX with GX Touch provides on-site viewing; VRM connectivity enables remote monitoring and alerts.
Dual-Security Door System
The dual-security door system adds layered protection without sacrificing airflow, combining a commercial-grade locking steel exterior door with an interior metal wire-mesh door that shields equipment while allowing ventilation.
Insulated, Weather-Protected Enclosure
The enclosure is designed to stay insulated and weather-protected in tough environments, with 2-inch polyurethane walls rated at R-13 to help moderate interior temperatures. Powder-coated steel resists corrosion; weather-sealed conduit entries keep cable routing clean.

The business case
It pays for itself, then it pays you.
Annual operating cost
Diesel light tower maintenance is quoted two ways: performed in-house it runs about $21,643/yr, or about $28,030/yr if serviced externally. Either way, the Li-Cube Security Hybrid's solar + propane backup cuts that to about $3,172/yr.
5-year cost of ownership
Figures from the Li-Cube Security Hybrid vs Diesel Light Tower comparison (2.5 kW ONAN propane backup + 1.8 kWp solar vs a 6 kW diesel light tower running ~4,300 h/yr). Includes fuel and maintenance; diesel figures shown for both in-house and externally-serviced maintenance. Actual savings depend on your site's operating hours, fuel price and maintenance arrangement.
